Al LorraineAL LORRAINE
Dabster Productions has been making innovative and engaging programmes for a wide range of clients since January 2006.  They have produced over 300 hours of shows for the BBC and have made podcasts that have been downloaded by more than 5 million people.  Al Lorraine is a Producer, sound engineer, presenter and writer.

Alan De PelletteALAN DE PELLETTE
Alan de Pellette is a writer/director with 15 years experience in television and film, working in comedy and drama.  His short film, Declarations, won Best International Director at the 2009 New York Film Festival and his first feature film, Fifty Fifty Ball, will be released later in 2012.

Alison Goring worked for many years in both Film & Television as an Assistant Director before recently becoming Drama Talent Manager for BECTU Vision and the Skillset Drama Training Project.

 

 

Barbara OrtonBARARA ORTON
Barbara Orton has been an independant producer for the last 15 years coming from a background of community developemnt in the arts and media, previously part of the key team for Glasgow’s Year of Culture in 1990.

 

 

Caroline GormanCAROLINE GORMAN
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Commercial Music, Caroline worked at various record labels, including EMI and an indie subsidiary of Sony/BMG. The hub of Rage Music, Caroline works on all projects. She discusses briefs, organises schedules, budgets, contracts, sessions and musicians to ensure the smooth delivery of the music. Her musical tastes are truly eclectic, but she is a pop princess at heart.  As well as heading up Rage Music, Caroline also sits on the board as a Director for the SMIA (Scottish Music Industry Association).

Catriona LoganCATRIONA LOGAN
Catriona Logan, producer of Celtic Media Festival, worked in sports television for 5 years. Working on sports as varied as Cricket, football and UFC, Rugby and Motorsports highlights.  Catriona went on to produce live Celtic Matches for overseas broadcasting.

 

Cheryl OsbornCHERYL OSBORNE
Doddle, UK operations Director. Doddle is a mobile and online directory, news, and industry tools resource (with Jobs & Classified adverts coming soon).  Cheryl looks after sales and marketing in the US, UK, coordinating the UK callsheet roll-out and strategic partnerships.  Prior to Doddle she was head of training and development for Reed Elsevier for 19 years, NLP master practitioner, armed police officer and hypnotist.

Dale CorlettDALE CORLETT
BAFTA nominated GMAC Director Dale Corlett won the Os International Award of Excellence 2009 in Norway.  His feature was also nominated for the prestigious Michael Powell Award and he has executive produced over 30 short films that have gone on to win numerous awards around the world.

 

Dave SnithDAVE SMITH
Dave Smith and Euan Martin are co-directors of the writer-led production company Right Lines.  They have most recently written and produced the online radio drama series Hi-Wireless.

 

 

David ToddDAVID TODD
David Todd has worked as a football statistician for over 10 years, working for Sky on Soccer AM and Setanta Sports for all live EPL  matches.  He now owns his own company Statistically Speaking, who do the stats for every match on ESPN.

As PACT Director for out of London, Dawn has more than 20 years experience in broadcast, production and radio.  She is currently responsible for creating an international and commercial exploitation strategy for the independent production sector.

 

 

Douglas McDowallDOUGLAS MACDOUGALL
From projectionist to film editor then sound designer, Douglas has over twenty years of working in dark rooms and stuffy studios but still remains engaged by film narrative and the creative talent who get their vision to the big screen.  He has worked closely with various directors over the years, in his own words “….their movies are my good fortune.”

Duncan McCrone is PRS for Music’s Senior Manager in Scotland, responsible mainly for all aspects of ‘mechanical’ licensing in Scotland, but also providing advice and support to songwriters, composers and music publishers on PRS for Music and MCPS membership issues.  An established recording & performing artist, songwriter and media music composer himself, Duncan understands how confusing the copyright maze can be to artists and creators, and has built up a strong reputation over the past 23 years for being approachable, helpful and….quite easy to understand!

Eilidh Davies is a producer/reporter. She is currently producing live shinty for BBC ALBA.  She was also a producer on the World Snooker Championship 2012.  She worked on live SPL and rugby coverage for BBC ALBA for three years.

Dave Smith and Euan Martin are co-directors of the writer-led production company Right Lines.  They have most recently written and produced the online radio drama series Hi-Wireless.

 

 

Glynn HendersonGLYNN HENDERSON
As the Director of Action Media Safety Limited Glynn is a Chartered Health and Safety consultant with a full membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). He joined the BBC in March 1982 and became the safety advisor in June 1991 during which time he has worked on every genre of production work including: Live Events, Major Dramas, Factual, News and Current affairs, Entertainment, Sport, Children’s etc. Since leaving the BBC in April 2006 Glynn has worked on a variety of feature films, television productions and commercials as well as providing production safety relating training courses for a variety of organisations.

Doddle Partner/Global head of operations.  Doddle is a mobile and online directory, news, and industry tools resource (with Jobs & Classified adverts coming soon).  Harvey  launched Doddle in the US, then the UK and South Africa.  Prior to Doddle he spent 20 years at Kemps/Variety, now based in Moray achieving a life long dream to live in a cottage in Scotland, drink the water of life and play golf.

Jeff ZycinskiJEFF ZYCINSKI
Jeff Zycinski is Head of Radio at BBC Scotland.  That means he runs BBC Radio Scotland and is also in charge of the production teams in Scotland who make programmes for BBC stations like Radio 4, Radio 3 and Radio 1.   Born in Glasgow, his involvement with radio began as a teenager when he wrote weekly comedy detective stories for an overnight show on Radio Clyde.  He got no money for those (and is still bitter about that), but got an evening job in a supermarket so he could save up for a new typewriter.   While studying journalism at university, Jeff got his first paid job spending 24 hours in a Soho strip club making a programme for Capital Radio.  After that he got a job on the newsdesk at Moray Firth Radio in Inverness. That led to his next job as a news reporter at Radio Clyde and then he joined BBC Radio Scotland as a senior producer based in Selkirk.  Jeff became Head of Radio in 2005 and immediately switched his HQ  from Glasgow to Inverness where he now lives and eats.

Joanna Dewar GibbJOANNA DEWAR GIBB
Joanna Dewar Gibb is the Business Manager at Artem Ltd (Scotland).  Artem is a multi award-winning Special Effects company that has been designing and delivering the full range of physical SFX for television, film and commercials for 25 years.  Complementing the company’s London headquarters, Artem has a fully resourced workshop in Glasgow in the heart of the media quarter at Pacific Quay.  These premises offer the same great one-stop shop for SFX in Scotland.  Joanna has worked extensively in UK film and television production, project management and business development for companies including Portman, Zenith, Impact Pictures, Samuelson Productions, The Moving Picture Company, the BBC, the British Film Commission (in its first iteration where she was Head of Information) and TRC Media.  She has also worked in LA on secondment to Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox and Warner Brothers.

Karlie MacGregor has worked in Social media for four years and has extensive social engagement experience.  Karlie has over 20 years experience of sales, marketing and business development in both London and Edinburgh, predominantly customer and communication focussed.

Patsi Mackenzie is a Producer and Executive Producer, whose company Sorbier Productions works from Glasgow and Edinburgh. They work in documentary and drama, and are developing a slate of feature films.

Richie TurnerRICHIE TURNER
Richie has now spent 30 years based in Wales and describes himself as a creative innovator.  He is currently Deputy Director of the Global Academy at the University of Wales which works with Welsh companies across all sectors to increase their innovation capacity. Established in 2009 Global Academy has already raised over £15M towards a range of programmes and partnerships both in Wales and globally including MIT and Silicon Valley. Richie is also a Director of Creative Enterprise Consulting, Chairman of South Wales Carnival Arts Association (SWICA), Marketing & Sponsorship Director of Kaya Festival (a new world music festival in Wales) and a member of the Arts Council of Wales.  Richie recently undertook the controversial Efficiency and Innovation review and report into Welsh language TV broadcaster S4C. Previously he was Wales manager for NESTA, Joint Lottery Director and Head of Arts for All at Arts Council Wales and founder of Nofit State Circus (now Europe’s biggest circus company). He is also a visiting marketing and innovation lecturer at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and diversity and innovation consultant to many creative industry organisations across the UK.

Ron Inglis is a cinema consultant and Director of Regional Screen Scotland, the development agency for access to the cinemagoing experience in under-provided areas of Scotland.

 

 

Sara HarkinsSARAH HARKINS
Sara Harkins is the Creative Director Children’s, BBC Scotland.  Sara started her film and TV career in the mid-eighties working as a freelancer on feature films and TV dramas including, Shallow Grave, Highlander 3, The Big Man, Venus Peter and Taggart.  In 2002 Sara joined BBC Scotland Drama working in both development and production on shows such as Monarch of the Glen, Rockface, and Waterloo Road.  She then started to work across both the Drama and Children’s Departments and was Executive Producer on the Children’s BAFTA winning The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury.  Sara moved fully to Children’s in 2008 becoming Executive Editor for CBeebies Scotland and Executive Producing various series of Nina and the Neurons, Carrie and David’s Popshop, Lazytown Extra,  Same Smile, BAFTA winning Big City Park and the forthcoming show My Story.  Sara now leads Children’s Scotland working across both CBeebies and CBBC.

From studying an HNC radio in Edinburgh at Telford College, Stuart started his broadcast career at Radio 1  before landing the role of Specialist Producer at Beat 106.  He then moved on to be Programme Controller at Xfm Scotland, Galaxy Scotland and now Capital Scotland.
